Durrës

It is the embankment that starts about 900 meters to the right of the Shen Pali road in Bishtin e Palles. The distance from Tirana city is 47.2 km away and it can be reached in 51 minutes, while from Rinas Airport is 37.4 km away and it takes 40 minutes to drive. To come from Tirana and Rinas Airport you must follow the Tirana-Durrës highway and then take the Kêneta overpass. A straight road brings you to Porto Romano, while there stretches Shen Paul Street. From Durrës city, the distance is 9.7 km and it takes 19 minutes to reach there. You can fish along the entire embankment, mainly in its northwestern part but often also in the southeastern part of the embankment. You can drive along the dam and stop wherever you think is most convenient. There are no resting stops along the embankment. It is possible to fish mullet, sea bream, sea bass, common sole, anchovy and also blue crab. The view of the lagoon is impressive as it extends a few kilometers north of the Rinia or Fllaka sector.

A number of birds migrate or stay in this lagoon. As you fish you can spot dozens upon dozens of migratory aquatic birds endlessly flying across the marsh. They are the bitterns, sea swallows, eagle marsh, common curlew, gjelëzi, zogu gushëbardhë, gjelaçi i verdhë etc

After you are done with fishing, you can taste the products of the area in one of the restaurants of Sekor Rinia, which are located along the coast and the lagoon, but also along the road that connects the Sektori Rinia with Fllaka. The embankment is about 2.5 km long and can be crossed on foot in 28 minutes and by car in 10 minutes because its gravel road, not very suitable and you must drive carefully to avoid damaging the car. In the photos and videos you can also watch storks, ducks and other birds that appeared in the span of a few minutes while walking across the embankment.
