On the Thumanë-Lac highway, take the right to Lac and Patok if you are coming from Tirana city, and if you come from Lezha city, turn right to Patok about 200 meters after entering the highway. The fishing destination is located at the edge of the embankment where the Patok restaurants are located, one of the most favorite places in the north of Tirana for seafood culinary. It is located beyond the last restaurant with plenty of opportunity to change fishing position from time to time, to the south along the narrow strip of land that is wetted on both sides by the Lagoon waters.
Who fishes in Patok?
Mainly family fishing activity takes place in the lagoon of Patok, with fishing tools such as mbrzhda, njica (both with a length of 50-60ml), dajlan, pinar, hooks. The type of fishing is with barriers with fixed tools (pinar, dajlan), but also with hooks. On average, 14–18 days per month you can go fishing during the season which extends from October 1st to March 14th each year. Catching eel by groups of fishermen is done in the form of artisanal trawling and in the form of artisanal trawling.
