Lezha

The destination is located in the direction of the river Drin of Lezha, which for several kilometers runs in its bed through a narrow strip of land between Vain and Kune lagoons. The distance from Tirana city is 66.7 km away or 1 hour and 8 minutes by car, while from Rinas Airport is 45.4 km away or 44 minutes by car. It is 7.2 km away from Lezha city and takes 13 minutes by car to go there. If you drive from Tirana city, take a right turn and then an underpass to the left of Tirana-Lezhë road, and at Ishull Lezhë ring follow the direction to Ishull Lezhë. The road is in good conditions and the scenery lovely, keep driving straight to the end until you reach the fishing spot near Rambuje hotel. It is not a fishing spot on the sea shore but on the bank of the river Drin on one side and in less than 20 meters you can fish on the other side.

It is the narrowest part of the strip of land that separates the lagoon of Vain from the river Drin and the river Drin from the section of Kune lagoon. You can enjoy an impressive view from this spot and like everywhere in Kune Vain, you can watch birds and the lovely view of the lagoon and river blending together. You can also fish bream, sea bass, eel, anchovy, white-sea bream and even blue crabs. After fishing you can go to one of the many restaurants along the road and taste the local dishes of the zone, like grilled fish. It is mainly about grilling in embers the mullet, sea bass or bream without cooking oil or spices. Meanwhile, the locals offer salad and other dishes with fresh vegetables, corn bread, pickles and olives from their garden. Choose for yourself whether to accompany the meal with brandy (raki)or home- made wine.
