The distance from Tirana city is 43.2 km away and it takes 1 hour and 7 minutes by car to go there, while from Rinas Airport it is 33 km and it takes 49 minutes by car. To come from Tirana city and Rinas Airport you must follow the Tirana-Durrës highway and turn right at Sukthi overpass and follow the road to Rrushkull. The distance from Durrës city is 24 km and it takes 39 minutes by car. It is a quiet beach, apart from summer; very few vacationers can stroll on the sand, while amateur fishermen prefer it for fishing. You can catch fish such as sea bass, bream, anchovy, see fish less often sea eel, common smooth-hound, shi drum fish, greater amberjack fish bluefish. The one in the photo was caught right here near dusk, as a night of rain and lightning is a good time to catch eels. The destination is adjacent to Rrushkull Reserves, which is one of the few well-preserved parks, while 30 years ago there was a breeding reserves for pheasant. While fishing, you can observe various birds that prefer this area seasonally but also to stay longer.

The road to Hamallaj beach is partly asphalted for at least 3 kilometers, while the last few hundred meters it passes through a tunnel of trees, part of the Reserves, an impressive sight that gives you pleasure. During the summer there functions a small bar nearby but during the rest of the year it is closed. So you should carry liquids and food in addition to fishing gear.

The car goes all the way to the beach and can be parked on the outskirts of the sand. Nearby are the ruins of military barracks which has encirclement, but interesting to contemplate with its quarters, silo and command offices. A number of combat positions built during the communist era are around. In the 70s, a part of Rrushkull Beach was "planted" with iron spears up to 1 meter above the sand to prevent the imaginary landing of enemies. Now the spears have been removed and the beach has been cleared of them for over 30 years.
