Durrës

This destination is close to the tourist resort Vala Mare and at a distance of about 500 meters from the sea coast. Fishermen prefer it because of the water coming from the pumping station channel that starts from Rrushkulli about 11 km collecting water from the fields of some villages, offers nutrients for the fish that live between fresh and salt water.

The distance from Tirana city is 42.2 km away and it takes 1 hour drive, while from Rinas Airport it is 32 km and it takes 39 minutes by car. To come from Tirana city and Rinas Airport, you must follow the Tirana-Durrës highway and take a right at Maminas, heading for Gjiri i Lalzit. At Hidri Petrol Station, turn left and follow the road for 4.9 km in the direction of Vala Mare resort, Hamallaj. The distance from Durrës city is 26 km and it takes 36 minutes by car following the Durrës Tirana highway, turn left at Sukthi overpasss and follow the road towards Perlatiti and then Hamallaj.

The area around the pumping station is densely inhabited and you may prefer to rest or have a lunch in one of many restaurants in the area that offer fresh fish and seasonal products from their gardens. But you can also choose to taste other meat products such as chicken or duck. Up to 500 meters you can go to the Vala Mare resort, one of the best resorts in the country, preferred by the elite of Tirana city.
