After fishing, you can choose to go to a camping site near the Church of Shen Ndoi, among greenness, next to the sea and military barracks from the communist era such as bunkers or underground tunnels.
Shen - Ndoit Church is located near the sea coast in the northern direction of the Cape. The church belongs to the Romanesque-Gothic architectural type and was built at the end of the 13th century. Written sources mention that there were also three important churches near the Cape: the Church of Shen Maria, Shen Anastasia and Shen Kolli, where the Franciscan assemblies conducted their activity. The church was recently restored in 2003. This part is prohibited for fishing by the concessionaire who manages it, but you can fish in the sea a few meters from the shore with a boat. A few meters from the Church of Shen Ndoi is the Skanderbeg Castle in the most extreme part of Cape of Rodoni, which was built around 1460.
The castle had a rectangular plan and was equipped with 4 defensive towers in each of its corners. It was destroyed by the Turks in 1467 and rebuilt by the Republic of Venice 33 years later. Currently, the main tower with a height of 10 meters, and several defensive walls with a thickness of 3.5 meters have survived. From the Church to the castle you can walk through a path to the left of the church. The length of the path is 1.2 km and 15 minutes walk. After walking the first 900 meters of this path you will come across the underground bunkers of Rodon which were build as sea defense. The bunkers are deep in the hill and solid enough to hold heavy artillery such as cannons to hit enemy ships in case of attack up to the vicinity of Durrës city. Fishing is prohibited in this zone by the concessionaire who manages it, but you can fish in the sea a few meters from the shore with a boat.
